Google Analytics Process
Team,
We've had some issues with Google Analytics recently, mainly running out of accounts. Each account only has 100 accounts, but each account can have up to 50 properties, so we should be fine if we follow the process below:
We've had some issues with Google Analytics recently, mainly running out of accounts. Each account only has 100 accounts, but each account can have up to 50 properties, so we should be fine if we follow the process below:
- PPC & Patient Fetch Clients DO NOT get an account, they go under PPC Landing Pages (which is full), PPC Landing Pages 2 (which is not full), and Patient Fetch Clients accounts respectively. I just created Patient Fetch Clients today, and moved Imagene and Grove Sports under this account,
please consolidate all Patient Fetch Clients under this account.Eddie
- Consolidate, consolidate & CONSOLIDATE, we should not have multiple client accounts for different properties, I see this way too often. This could be a side-effect of asking clients to grant access to seo.admin@healthcaresuccess.com.
- Deletion is not your friend, transfer to no-reply@healthcaresuccess.com, deleting main accounts can take up to a month, so if were close to the cap, consolidate and transfer properties, if possible, then move the account to no-reply@healthcaresuccess.com. This is really easy, just add no-reply@healthcaresuccess.com as a user and remove seo.admin@healthcaresuccess.com, and the account will vanish from our main account.
This process mainly affects the developers here, but I wanted everyone to know what the process is. When we launch Client websites, Patient Fetch websites and Landing Pages, we need to follow this process.
We also need someone to go though and move/remove old clients from Analytics. This might fall under
Steven
's purview, as he may have the most experience with Analytics and what clients are still necessary. If the account is still active and they're receiving data from their website, but no longer a client, we should remove ourselves from user management.
Please comment below that you have read and understand this process.
Thank you,
Scott
