To-Dos Missing Assignments & Dates

Occasionally, when I go through project to-do lists on Basecamp, I see items that are either not assigned to someone or not given a date.

This is a reminder that without an assignment, no one is notified of the task, and without a date, it will not show up within “My Assignments with Dates” which is where most of us check our tasks.

Please doubled check assignments and dates if someone has not completed a task. You can always follow-up with me if I missed something, don't wait until it's too late.

Also, please make sure you are not assigning the task to yourself. I've seen that happen a few times. Or go ahead and do it yourself! ;-)

(But just to be fair, sometimes we DO assign stuff without dates and without people because we don't know who will be completing them, we - or I - just need to make sure to close the loop when we know the answer to those questions)

in this case, I recommend assigning the to-do to yourself, with a date, which can be changed when you have the correct details. Otherwise, you may end up in limbo, I mean the list of Overdue to-dos:
