Register now for Coping with Cancer in the Kitchen™ , an action-oriented nutrition and cooking workshop using research-based information and strategies. Coping with Cancer in the Kitchen™ is a free 90 minute, seven-week workshop designed to help you make healthy eating changes through group counseling, hands-on food preparation, recipe tasting, facilitated discussion and structured goal setting. Registered dietitians and licensed social workers will guide you through the process with these weekly themes: Module 1: American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) Recommendations for Cancer Prevention & Intro to Foods that FightCancerTM Module 2: AICR’s New American Plate & One-Pot Meals Module 3: Beans and Whole Grains Module 4: Breakfast and Snacks Module 5: Comfort Foods Module 6: Veggies Module 7: Building a Foods that Fight CancerTM This workshop will be initially open to cancer survivors, age 18 years or older, that have completed active cancer treatment, not including hormonal or other similar agents, e.g., tamoxifen.
