Email from Penny about new interview subjects and the patient interviews in general, plus my response to her:

Offline

Thank you, Penny! I’ll reach out to these three today. I reached out to Amberlea and Mary yesterday, leaving messages with each of them. I’ll try all 5 today.

No problem about the comparatively less detail for these; we have thorough interviews to ferret all the good stuff out.

If you insist, I’ll send you the raw interview notes as they stand (for Melzer and Castle, so far). But in truth, I’d rather wait until we have a chance to edit them down. There is LOT of information, far more than we will ultimately use. Plus, we don’t know what we’ll use until we have an adequate sample set and start figuring out which patient will be used for which truth.

So far, we’re two-for-two in the enthusiasm department. But, yes, we’ll certainly let you know of any/all negativity so you can address it.

Thanks again, Penny! We appreciate your help!

Three patients gave an nthused "yes" to interview  -- people I spoke with tonight:
EAch person will need to tell you about her or his diagnosis. I really can't provide any of their medical information but simply to let you know that each chose to be treated at Block Center.

(1) Janet Gonzales -- (815) 671-7231 Said she feels "super healthy" and "a blessing to be here," but you'll be able to gather more specific information; her first visit at Block Center was in 2011, I believe.

(2) Reginald (Reggie) Pierce -- (630) 251-2383 He lives in Springfield and is a positive proponent of Block Center. Warm response to my questions and very willing/happy to be interviewed about his experience with us and belief in the individualized comprehensive approach we provide.

(3) Rosalie Bicket -- (630) 898-7628 -- suggested that 3:00 pm good time to call; next week will travel to be with son&dtr-in-law for another grandchild's birth so will be out of town (Side bar: we shared the joy of this grandparent role.)

I will continue to call patients on my list and forward names and phone numbers of those willing to be interviewed. (It will be wonderful for me to read the comments you hear. But if any are not enthused, please let me know who and what his or her concern was. I will find an appropriate way -- not as if you reported to me negatives -- to sit with that person or persons to learn how we can do better.)

Michelle:

Here is the to-do list with those scheduling to-dos we discussed in the kitchen. If you could, just open and read the 5 SCHEDULE tasks and call the patients to set up a time for me to interview them. My calendar is up-to-date. I'm out at 3pm today and 2pm tomorrow. Please add your call notes (left message, will call back, etc.) to the appropriate To Do. We need to be setting these up asap-ly, so I'm hoping you can start making these calls today. (Before I get, these pats and the client are in Chicago, two hours ahead of us.)

The attachment below is the standard Template for these interviews, which has a big preamble that you can use to answer the interviewees' questions about the purpose of the interview. (They often inquire, so please read the preamble ahead of time to be prepped, and I recommend having it at the ready when you make the calls.) The interviews typically run 30 to 45 minutes long.

Let me know if any questions.

Lastly, THANK YOU! I'm buried and could really appreciate you agreeing to help.
