Tamila Kahng, Project Manager at Healthcare Success Tamila the client would like the first draft by 8/15. They may provide us with some more information in the next couple of weeks, but I would like to get this in the production schedule.

Hi Greg,

Can you please create a brief for RCCA's two page spread in New Jersey Monthly magazine?

6 of the CJD MDs and 1 of the PRO MDs were chosen as Top Docs –

RCCA:

Dr. Desai
Dr. Fang
Dr. Karp
Dr. Nissenblatt
Dr. Richards
Dr. Toomey

PRO:
Dr. Tsai

Client Feedback:
There will be headshots of all of the CJD/PRO MDs on the two pages and the ad will advertise something to the effect of "we have joined forces."

The goal is to get the word out that RCCA-CJ and PRO have joined forces, and now all your treatment in one place from one group!

HS prepared a full page ad in 2018 for this Top Docs issue:

The client suggested putting all individual head shots across the 2 pages (with PRO on the right.)

And use a group shot of the PRO docs

Spec info (so you have an idea):

Thank you!

Please define "brief" in this context. That term isn't lexicon around here. Looks like this is a double-page-spread Print Ad, not a "brief." If a brief, please be as detailed as possible about how this differs from a DPS Print Ad.

Thanks!

I am going to look to Tanya Lindsay, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success Tanya for clarification as she suggested the "brief."

Thank you!

I feel like if anything the brief should come from Tanya and I?
Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success If a brief, yes.
Tamila Kahng, Project Manager at Healthcare Success
I agree. Creative Brief is usually being written by AM to download creatives on what needs to be done on the project. Client should approve brief first to make sure it's on strategy.
Then we have a team kick off meeting to go over the brief and talk about project and timing.

That's my experience. I'll be happy discuss it further.

whatever you guys want. Just trying to push some things along so nothing is forgotten about...

I think there's been a confusion in language used to define the task.
Let's re-visit when Tanya and Leslie back in the office.
Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success
Do we know why "brief" was used here? Normally, the task to the CW would be "Write Copy," which I'm prepared to do. I've never written an ad "brief" before. I have zero doubt I could, but I'd need to know what it is first. Like Tamila mentioned, I'd expect to be working from a brief. Happy to do whatever needs doing, as long as I know how.

Hi Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success Greg :

"Brief" was used here because Tanya wants to start implementing creative briefs for projects. Tamila and I discussed and we also are not fully sure what this means. My original task was to write copy. I guess just hold off. Thanks! Sorry about all of this confusion.

Ok, so, I discussed with Tanya while we were out and we will NOT be doing a brief for this project because we don't really have the process in place yet LOL.

SO, here's what we need:

As Chloe Ribotsky, Healthcare Success Chloe mentioned above, this client bought a 2-page spread in this magazine, New Jersey Monthly. NJ Monthly consistently names several RCCA doctors as top docs, which the client would like to highlight in the ad. I like what we did preivously with listing the names and then added an asterisks next to the names of the winners.

You can see the ad we did previously, which is great. Now we basically need to add in PRO and make it 2 pages.

The client originally suggested using headshots of ALL of the doctors from both teams, which essentially would make it look like a yearbook, so we're not doing that.

Chloe and I thought it would be best to isntead use both group pictures.

SO, the task moving forward:
Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success Greg , please write an ad that is designed for this 2-page spread that talks about how the 2 groups have "joined forces" so now all of your treatment is in one place and from one group, and that they are leaders in this community.

Please let me know if you have any questions going forward.

THANK YOU!!

Leslie Hines, Healthcare Success Leslie : Thanks for the clarity. My principal question at this point is regarding "all your treatment in one place." Chemo and radiation are just two of the three main treatments for cancer. We can and certainly will talk about referring to top-quality surgeons, but I believe we are unable to assert "all treatment in one place." The question, really, is this: Do you agree that we can't say "all in one place"? As to how to handle this, I'm old hat at that. Just want to make sure you understand that/why I will stray from the literal instructions somewhat.

Tamila Kahng, Project Manager at Healthcare Success Tamila : Can you fit me with a due date for this? I'm thinking Tues. 7/23 or Wed. 7/24.

Here is my d1 Copy for this DPS ad. Please review.

I've created the copy in a way that points toward how to split the content across the pages. The reality of the actual gutter may force a completely different approach in Design. Heck, there could be a completely different approach anyway, just because Simona knows what she's doing.

I'll leave it to you to determine if we want to design as written or revise then design. There are 23 RCCA docs and 11 PRO docs. This is 34, not quite the "35" we've been mentioning in all recent both-practices ads. Which is missing? Or is the 35 really 34 now? Also, has either practice added or lost any doctors recently? In any case, it's a big list. Your call as to whether the full lists of doctors are worthwhile on this ad? Again, maybe design first?

Let me know if you need anything else. Oh! Also, please see my questions at the bottom of the second page.

Hi Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success Greg ,

This looks great!

QUESTIONS:
  • Top docs are for 2019, correct? Yes.
  • Can we get the 2019 Top-Docs graphic? We have already requested this from the client, and this was their response:
    • In September Jersey’s Best will publish another magazine that has General Top Docs, which will include all specialties (not specific to cancer).  When that is published they will have the Jersey Best Top Doc logo and will send it to us.
  • Are both lists of doctors still 100% accurate? I just went through and checked, PRO list is accurate, Philip A. Pancari, MD needs to be added to RCCA-CJ list (I believe this is the 35th MD)

Please let me know if you have any additional questions, hope this helped!

Thanks!
