Hi Betsy,

Here are all items that need to be uniform across the microsites. We are taking the feedback from Singing River, and applying it to the rest of the sites.

  • Client likes the new font we picked for Singing River -- use this for the rest
  • Delete Halcyon Rehab in secondary nav
  • Hide Company in secondary nav (won't add it back until main website is finished)
  • Reduce size of secondary nav
  • Main nav tab should be "Amenities"
  • Main CTA button in header is orange
  • CTA button in hero section is white
  • Mention seniors in the copy (reference main clientele, but don't limit it)
  • Update name to Blog/News
  • Blog/News section on HP (hide until we have blogs)
  • Build out Blog/News page. Ex. https://gchc.wpengine.com/blog/ (it is just hidden right now)
  • Should be just Amenities across the board
  • Add unchecked box in forms asking if they would like to receive more information

If/when we get more feedback that is universal, we will add it in here.

Betsy Stevenson
Michelle Day, 💁🏼 at Healthcare Success Michelle - Hold please - I forgot the blog section on the HP -grr!
will repost in a sec.
Betsy Stevenson
updated - it was already in the layout but it's in the deck now - it's back up in the list with all the rest...
Celeste Ethington, Healthcare Success thanks, got it!
Scott Orchard, 👨🏻‍💻 at Healthcare Success
I think the size of the copy is fine, but the amount is what should be reduced.

Also, Sean Mee, Healthcare Success Sean  is currently making changes.
Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success
Well, I just did all the copy changes.
Scott Orchard, 👨🏻‍💻 at Healthcare Success Thank you!
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
The client is concerned the copy box in the hero image is too big. Also, we talked about shortening the height of hero image. Can you do that, please?
Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success
Ok, I shortened it. Let me know if that works.
Betsy Stevenson
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success Niki did you say you needed copy cut from the HP as well?
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Well, I think the font is a little too big, which makes the box too big.

Hang tight, I want to speak with Stewart. Thanks!
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success Eddie  I saw you shortened the height (which looked GREAT!), but it just jumped back to being taller. Did you do something?
Betsy Stevenson
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success Niki - great, just LMK, I'm ready to post Dixie updates.
Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success
Oh, right. Sean and I were making changes at the same time and they were overriding each other. Fixed now.
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success Eddie I spoke with Stewart and he agrees that we should make the hero copy headline font smaller, therefore making the box in the hero smaller. Font and box are too big right now.

I like the height of the hero image, so thank you!

Let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success
Well, making the font smaller will not affect the size of the box. Do we want to make the font smaller and/or make the box smaller?
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Yes to both. :-)
Eddie Olivas, Healthcare Success
Ok done. Lmk if that works.
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Looks great! Michelle Day, 💁🏼 at Healthcare Success Michelle  I think it's ready to be proofed so I can send to the client.

Betsy Stevenson Betsy please note this for the microsite copy from Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success Steven

SEO section exceeds the standards. A title should have 70 characters max, and a Description should have 160 characters max.
Betsy Stevenson
ok we are back to shorter SEO? I will adjust - thanks!
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success Steven , weigh in, please?
Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success
For the SEO title, just try to get around 55-70 characters. The Meta Description has gone back and forth on length, but better to be safe at the 160 mark.
Betsy Stevenson
Thanks Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success Steven - O! Posting Dixie now with legal SEO : ) Will shorten Singing River asap.
Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success 💪🤘
Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success
Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success Steven : All our writers (presently just me and Betsy) use our MSWord templates. The last news from you was 75 char max for title, and so that is the max AND the ideal target that we have been using up until right now. Hundreds of our web pages were written targeting 75 max/target. When these change, we need to be notified. The last notification, 9/7/2018, was to drop Meta Descriptions to 175 char down from 320. I can find nothing that instructed us to drop Meta Titles from 75 to 70, and I know we didn't discuss it.

So, there are two questions:
  1. Should we change our templates from 75 to 70? (Assuming yes.)
  2. All pages written until right now were aiming for 75. Should we be going through manually to make sure Meta Titles for all web pages currently in production are capped at 70? (Hoping not; time-intensive.)

Just read the latest Title Tag post on Moz. It looks like the ideal limit is now 60 characters or less, although it's based on the 600-pixel container which could be less, could be more. So ideally around 60 if possible with main keyword in the first part of the title. No need to add qualifiers in the first part of the title. Instead of like "Exceptional Healthcare in Gulf Coast," just do "Healthcare in Gulf Coast". Something to that nature.

Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success
Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success Steven : Excellent. I'm changing the templates presently.

Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success Niki and Roya Amiri, Healthcare Success Roya : Should we go back and change all our in-process Dev sites to reflect 60? Or should we just go forward? Please advise.

ahhh, Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success Greg and Steven Jacobs, 🚀 at Healthcare Success Steven Roya Amiri, Healthcare Success Roya see I thought I recalled 75 and 320. Crazy, not crazy? No, def crazy!
Thanks for the updates guys!
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success
Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success Greg how many dev sites is that? I don't think it's a large number, so I'd say we should update them.

Thanks,
N
Betsy Stevenson
So Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success Niki , Celeste Ethington, Healthcare Success Celeste   - I need to go back to Singing River and Dixie to update:

- The title and desc counts
- Look for areas (Virtual Tour, etc) to differentiate the copy by adding the location if it doesn't get too wonky

Then continue to customize the rest of the HPs in Batch 1, plus make all global changes and post D2s.

Can you think of anything else?
Greg Ashbaugh, Sr. Copywriter at Healthcare Success
Niki Kaylor, Director of Client Services at Healthcare Success Niki : I have no clue how many sites that is. I'm not even sure how to go about determining that. It's also much more about page count.

But here is a key question: What about launched sites for our key clients? If we know that those clients with Meta Title char. counts >60 are being SEO-harmed, will we choose to not act? I'd love to not have to engage in a surprise initiative that may prove to be Herculean, but I'd hate to cut corners for Rosecrance and RCCA and their ilk.

Then, here comes the next question: Do we need to change all 320-char.-max Meta Descriptions to  160 max for our key clients? Dev sites are safe on Descriptions; we changed back in September. But there are doubtless lots of launched client pages with close to double the recommended char. count.

I think it's wise for us to undertake an effort to check Titles for all sites/pages being written or Dev'd presently. The being-written pages are easy for Betsy Stevenson Betsy and I to identify. For sites in Dev, we'd need an aggregated list from someone with more of a bird's-eye view of all site production. We'd also need to figure out the Copy workload and get it scheduled in via Michelle Day, 💁🏼 at Healthcare Success Michelle and Roya Amiri, Healthcare Success Roya . The good news is that Copy could do the WP changes without involving Dev.

Hope this helps. Looking forward to figuring it out.

  • Delete Halcyon Rehab in secondary nav
  • Update name to Blog/News
  • Blog/News section on HP (hide until we have blogs)
  • Build out Blog/News page. Ex. https://gchc.wpengine.com/blog/ (it is just hidden right now)
  •  On Amenities page, update header name only to FEATURES AND AMENITIES
Betsy Stevenson
Celeste Ethington, Healthcare Success Celeste - thanks - all the locations I posted today are updated in those areas - except for the blog page.
Celeste Ethington, Healthcare Success
We overrode the client's suggestion, and it should be "Amenities" across the board going forward.

Betsy Stevenson completed this to-do.
